Mission Statement

'To provide children with a rewarding, fun and educational experience, whilst being taught the essential skills of not only football but for sport and life itself. To allow children to make friends and develop in different aspects of life.'

Pro Football Academy helps provide the coaches with the information and help so that they:

  • Teach the children not only as a team but as an individual also.
  • To have the knowledge of fun games allowing the children to learn by enjoying football and to have a positive experience.
  • To have the ability to give technical information to those players seeking to get a higher level of learning of the game.
  • The idea behind the Pro Football Academy Curriculum is that there is a progression through age groups and to allow a "development ladder" for the children to climb as they progress mentally and physically.
For the youngest players the games are simple, incorporating basic techniques to be learned in a fun environment. As the players get older the curriculum is tailored so that the games become more advanced but still maintain the core elements of fun and enjoyment.

It is important for the coach to understand the importance of what they do and how that influences what happens with the children. It is important that they are:

  • Enthusiastic and fun
  • Able to demonstrate the skills
  • Knowledgeable
  • Able to adapt and improvise
  • Organised and portray a positive attitude at all times

The coaches used on IB Coaching schools are aware of the importance of every individual on camp. Therefore they have the ability to understand the needs of every player individually so that they maximise their enjoyment and involvement in the camp. It is easy to set up a drill but not easy to accommodate all of the individuals into the drill.
